Standards
Safety and authorization standards
These standards are written into every scope. They are not marketing.
Standard 01
Authorization
- A written scope and rules of engagement, signed before any field activity
- Verified authority over both the property and the event
- Required coordination with on-site command and, where relevant, law enforcement
- A need-to-know roster of who is aware of the engagement
Standard 02
Materials
- Never introduced into live screening: firearms, ammunition, knives, or explosives
- Never introduced: realistic replicas of any of the above
- Never introduced: controlled substances, or medication used as bait
- Prohibited-item response is tested by supervised tabletop exercise
Standard 03
Conduct
- Only named scenarios from the rules of engagement
- Remain in authorized areas at all times
- Stop immediately on controller instruction
- No impersonation of public-safety officials
- No fake credentials beyond what the client has approved in writing
Standard 04
Privacy
- No recording in restricted zones without express permission
- Individuals are not named in reports
- Bystanders are redacted
Standard 05
Stop-work triggers
- Loss of authorization
- Any law-enforcement concern
- A disturbance, or any person placed at risk
- Scope ambiguity
- Inability to reach the safety controller
Standard 06
Data handling
- Restricted storage with access logging
- Agreed retention period, and deletion on request
- No publication of footage or client identity without permission
